It’s US citrus season and marvelous oranges are here! Now is time to make this delicious petite tea cake for you and your love. Valentine’s day is coming soon too, so make ahead and freeze one. No need to bake a huge dessert just for two.  Great for keeping on hand for a quick tea-time bite. This cake is so easy and versatile, it just might unleash your baker’s imagination juices.  But be careful, it’s so good, you just might not want to share.

Tips: Use small-medium fresh oranges for best zest. They should smell like oranges. Wash citrus well, some have a wax coating. Save the juice for glaze.

 This tea cake was made with CA Rising C Ranch seville oranges and Stone-Buhr , certified sustainable flour,grown in WA.
